Why Is Democracy Considered the Best Form of Government Class 9

Democracy is both good and bad, but I think it`s better. Let`s take an example, we, the Indian people, get the right to vote!! Right to freedom of speech and expression. Right of residence in any part of the country. !! Isn`t that a big problem DEMOCRACY IS BETTER THAN AUTOCRACY. All forms of government have their shortcomings, but on the whole, democracy has fewer. That doesn`t necessarily make it the ”best,” but I think it has been statistically proven that democracy is a more effective form of government. As long as citizens are happy and human rights are not ignored, democracy is my government. I understand democracy as something that gives the weak the same chance as the strong Mahatma Gandhi I think democracy is better than autocracy, but sometimes autocracy is better than democracy. You see how many of them are affected in the form of democracy. Take the example of delhi students who were raped and murdered. Autocratic countries like China still maintain a high level of GDP. Everyone`s thoughts? This is simply not true.

Regardless of the culture in question, it will determine who gets a vote and who doesn`t. Children don`t vote, criminals don`t vote, and the mentally ill don`t vote, to name just a few examples. We can name these categories of non-voters and tell us that seems reasonable, but that`s because our culture has decided it`s reasonable. The real danger of democracy lies in the freedom for ”everyone” to have a voice. There are many people who can vote legally but should not vote ethically. As education continues to decline, especially in Western countries, people will be less and less qualified to make smart decisions. Simply put, many people simply do not have the intelligence or wisdom to make judgments about the categories of politics, society, and ethics. It would have been worse with another form of government. I live in the United States, which has had a democracy since day one, they always say freedom and justice for all, but they manage to exterminate one race of people and keep another in an eternal state of slavery for more than 100 years when they agreed to release them in 20 years and then deny them fundamental rights and freedoms to this day. democratic government is a more accountable form of government. A democracy requires those in power to take care of the needs of the people. There is no empirical evidence that the undemocratic regime leads to smarter decisions, even on economic issues.

Cuba and North Korea may not have large debts, but even if they were to suffer the ”evil debts” of democracy, it is clear that they would be better economically. Do you know of a country without a democracy that, in your opinion, offers a better life, even economically for all its citizens? Democracy is stupid. Democracy suggests that people are smart enough to govern a nation (or elect a leader). And that`s not true at all. If the majority of people voted and there were no restrictions on advertising, most people would vote for the guy who promised a free taco for everyone. People are greedy and stupid, and people who are ready and/or wise enough to vote are much less than people who don`t understand or care about politics, which leads to corruption or incompetence. A fair vote would only involve men and women who understand the nature of politics and who are interested and confident in taking matters into their own hands. But that would undermine the fundamental principle of democracy; ”The people rule the country.” In this case, the ”people” will not rule the country. The country would be governed by competent and willing people who have control over their nerves, and it is no longer a democracy, it is aristocracy You can attract voters to the polls if you wish, but you can not interest them in most issues.

It`s an idea that sounds appealing if you`re one of those interested people (I`d love that), but if you`re trying to discuss political issues with most people, they`ll change the subject or politely nod without comment. Many people are also interested in expressing their views, but have obviously not done any research on their validity. An elected representative may take longer to review the idea, discuss it with peers, and explain whether it contradicts public opinion. Of course, most politicians are weasels and will place public opinion above educated opinion, but the result of this is no worse than direct democracy. True democracy, in my opinion, is the best form of government, the problem is that many so-called democracies use a first-to-post system that rarely produces a result that matches what was voted. Countries should also encourage participation by teaching civic education and politics to children from an early age to increase their enthusiasm. .
